What it is:

Learning By Grace is pleased to bring you a special dual course on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe entitled Beyond The Wardrobe: a 40-lesson Online Learning Experience (20 lessons for each Chronicle). We suggest that each 20 lesson course be completed in one month... one per weekday. However participants may complete the lessons at any pace they desire. Both are included with your free registration and you can complete either or both of the courses.

This is a professional resource for educators, group leaders, and individual learners. It is provided free-of-tuition and any other fees because we want to pass on the power of imagination that inspired author C. S. Lewis, and to encourage discussion and consideration of the spiritual allegory and parable in and of the story. Everyone involved in these ambitious courses shares the same goal: to deepen the magic that has inspired generations of readers.

Course Description and Experience:

Beyond The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian are a general overviews of the books (and movies) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian by C. S. Lewis. Each lesson in each course covers about one chapter in the book and includes an overview as well as questions and comments for consideration. There are several multiple-choice quizzes that are automatically graded and entered in a student "grade book". Answer keys are provided to group leaders (or individual students if they are registering without a group). Every student has an online  "Homeroom" as well as access to an online library, a chat social center and many other features. The entire learning environment is provided at no cost because it is funded by our sponsor. These courses have been created to be used by a large range of ages from younger teens through older adults.

The courses have been created with the intent that it be relevant, engaging and true to the writings of C. S. Lewis. It is made to be used by both individuals who wish to learn by themselves and/or by groups of users such as Public, Private, Parochial or Christian school groups, homeschooling co-ops, Study groups and others. If you register as a Group Leader you will receive Answer Keys, Administration Access (online and by our dedicated staff) and are allowed management access.

Please join us together with thousands of like-minded "students of all ages" throughout the United States and the rest of the world. This  courses can be taken at any time and any pace. We've created course versions for either individual learners or groups. 

Because this resource is free you are welcome to register even if you just want to review the curriculum. If you then find that it would be a good resource for you or your group simply continue on. Groups may add an unlimited number of students.  Registering is extremely simple and we only ask for enough information to help us personalize your learning experience [privacy policy]. Individuals under the age of 13 years must be registered by their parents. Groups should be registered by the main contact person for the group.
